Best of all, you get to try all the unhealthy theme park food your parents never let you have your fill of as a child. All the cotton candy, popcorn, and funnel cake that you want! A little warning though, you and your date might pass out from a food coma afterwards.

Really, who doesn’t love food? If you and your date have a shared appreciation for the gustatory delights of life, then check out any local food festivals. From chili to bake-offs to everything else in between, a food festival brings out the glutton in all of us. You and your date can try a bite of this here, and a sip of this there. And at the end of the day, if you and your date find something that the both of your really like, you can try to recreate the recipe yourselves at home.

Attend a concert together or check out some local live music

If music is more your jam, you can take your date out to a local concert and enjoy the music together. However, if the both of you feel like a more intimate setting, you can check out the local live music scene. There are usually bars and cafes that offer live music nights and the both of you can enjoy some good music while getting to know each other.
