Isn’t Tampa nightlife always fun especially if you’re going to spend it with your friends? What’s better way to hang out and update each other about the goings-on in your lives if you don’t do it over a pint of beer, right? However, a nightlife is only as fun as it will allow you to. Meaning that if you’re not careful enough, you’ll end up puking all-night-long.

Here are some of the things you can do to make sure you’re not going to wake up with a massive hangover:

Load up with carbs

This is your chance to eat anything you want. Mac and cheese, gravy fries, a bucket of chicken and gravy, mashed potatoes… think about anything you want to eat that you’re always afraid of because of all the carbohydrates and calories. Well, those are the food that you need in your system if you want to make sure you’re not coming home drunk as hell and waking up with the worst hangover of your life. The carbs will allow your stomach acid to settle and instead of it reacting adversely to the alcohol that you will consume, the food (carbs) will simply act as a buffer.

Drink plenty of water in-between

In-between drinking hard liquors, make sure to drink a glass of water. Noticed why you feel better in the morning when you simply drink beer? It’s because beer contains water that allows your system to hydrate even when you drink tons of them. Sure, you’ll be making a run to the loo to relieve yourself, but that’s welcome compared to spending the next day in your bed.

Have enough sleep

You won’t have trouble sleeping if you get drunk enough. The problem is if you woke up with a massive headache and just suddenly felt so bad you cannot fall asleep. The trick is to drink a glass of hot milk or plenty of water before going to bed. That will calm you enough to have a good night’s sleep. When you wake up the next morning, you’ll definitely feel better.

Make sure you’re not working the next day

Nothing worsens your hangover than the thought of having to work the next day. Why would you drink of you’re working the next day, anyway? The next day is for recuperating and you cannot recuperate when you’re in the office working under your bosses’ watchful eyes. Do your partying on Friday when you have at least the next two days for yourself.
