If you live or are traveling to the south side of Lakeland check out Loyce E. Harpe Park. There are many soccer and baseball fields for recreational games. There is a great playground for kids of all ages and a dog park for your four legged children. In the back of the park they have some really cool nature trails and mountain bike trails for the extreme families. You’re bound to see an alligator or two so watch your step!

If you’re planning a day in Downtown Lakeland Florida and it’s getting hot in this Florida heat check out the splash pad at Lake Mirror. It is conveniently located in the heart of Downtown Lakeland right next to the beautiful botanical Hollis Garden. Hollis Garden has beautiful fountains, flowers and walkways. It’s a great place to capture that special family picture.

Lakeland Florida has many playgrounds throughout this beautiful city. One of the newest and most popular of playgrounds is called Common Ground. Here, children of all age, ability and disabilities can play together in this amazing and unique playground. It really is a family friendly and large park.
