Yes, you heard that right. A lot of times we keep on wondering what the bright side about shopping is but in fact, we can actually work out and lose weight while we are in the malls.

Take a look at some of these things we can do to remain fit while we’re out and about in malls:

Take the stairs

Instead of using the elevator or the escalator, why won’t we take the stairs? It’s good for the heart since it’s a cardio exercise. It will get our blood pumping, too, giving us more energy to do our tasks for the day. Whenever you need to go up or down a few floors, we have to simply take the stairs instead of the elevator or escalator, which is literally letting us stand there and do nothing.

Walk

Walk around the mall. If you’re waiting for your friends to arrive or you are killing off time, instead of sitting down in a café, walk around the mall and window shop. You don’t have to purchase anything, but you will lose a lot of pounds walking around and seeing things. You may not know it, but walking is a full-blown exercise that will get every muscle in your body involved.

Carry your baby in a carrier

If you are bringing your baby with you, put him/her in a carrier and carry him/her around. You don’t need a stroller or a car seat for that. If you want to lose some weight, you better carry your baby while you walk around the mall. Since your body weight will be heavier, the “workout” will be much more intense, even as far as shedding off a few pounds that very day.

Juice up

During the summer season, when the heat is too much, we end up buying drinks that would refresh us and cool us down. You may opt for whatever drinks that would satisfy you—cola, juice, Frappuccino, etc.,–but remember not to drink sugary drinks because this would not be good for your diet. Instead, bring your own organic juice or freshly squeezed juice or stick to bottled water. You may also opt to buy a juice composed of different fruits and vegetables. Spinach, for example, is such a healthy ingredient in every nutritious drink.
