iCitySpy would like to congratulate, and welcome Andrew Graham as the Manager for the Lakeland Flying Tigers for the 2017 Season!

A recent source has informed us that Andrew Graham will be taking over as the new manager of the Lakeland Flying Tigers, with an official announcement coming as early as this week.

Graham is 34-years old and has been a part of the Tigers organization since 2003 when he was first drafted as a catcher. Graham played the second half of the 2005 season with the Lakeland Flying Tigers where they made the playoffs, and then continued as a player with the Flying Tigers until mid season 2006, when he was then promoted to the Double A Erie SeaWolves. Graham then spent part of the 2007 season with the Toledo Mud Hens as catcher. As a native of Sydney, Australia, Graham also played for the Australian National Baseball team in the World Baseball Classic in 2006 and 2009.

Graham is entering his 8th Professional year of coaching and his 7th year as a manager. He spent the last 3-years managing the West Michigan Whitecaps in the Midwest League, where he led them to the playoffs all 3-years, winning the Midwest Championship in 2015. Graham was the first manager to ever win a championship as a player and as a manager with the same franchise. Although he never won a championship in Lakeland as a player, he looks forward to winning one here as the manager of the Lakeland Flying Tigers for the 2017 season.

“I’m very excited for this opportunity to manage the Lakeland Flying Tigers, and look forward to developing the youth of the Detroit Tigers, in order to hopefully achieve a championship winning team. It’s already going to be a special year with the brand new facility that is currently underway, and we would really love to bring a championship back home for this upcoming 2017 season.”
