What is the thing that you hate the most when you’re Tampa shopping? Aside from the grocery store not having good deals and the prices of items skyrocketing, we are almost always annoyed by co-shoppers, whether they brought their rowdy kids and neglect to control them or hold the line at the cashier while they keep piling items into their card.

There are table manners for dining out, all right. There is, too, when you go out shopping.

Do not discard your shopping cart

How many times has it happened to you that when you’re about to fall in line to the cashier, the line suddenly got super long and you’re not really willing to stay that long in the store? What happens next? Well, you discreetly discard your shopping cart aside and decide against buying those eggs for breakfast the next day. Let’s just stick to oatmeal, alright?

No one needs to eat eggs every single day! If you can, simply ask a salesperson to bring back the items to their respective aisles. The thing is, you may have items there that need to get back to the freezer ASAP. The salesperson may not know if he/she should start bringing back the items in your cart or if someone simply parked it there and run to get more stuff.

Do not cut in line

No matter if you only have five items you need to buy and the others have five full carts they need to pay for, don’t cut in line. At the most, you can ask the customers before you if they can allow you to pay for your stuff first since you only have a handful of items. If they don’t want to, don’t feel bad about it.

Stop piling items into your card when you’re in line for the cashier

One of the most annoying things to happen in a grocery store is when the customer in front of you keeps putting items into her cart while standing in line to the cashier. Look, the reason that I stood behind you is because it looks like it won’t take you long to pay for your cart. If you keep piling things up, that defeats my purpose of choosing your line.

You cannot “save” a space to the cashier

I hate this more than anything. Do not use your kids to “save” a space to the cashier because you’re still busy picking items up. It’s like saving a “space” in the parking lot. Can you do it? Yes. Is it right? Not exactly.
