Since dining out regularly in Lakeland restaurants can be pretty expensive, we have to strategize on how we go about our dining options out of the house. One of the choices we have now is to dine in buffet restaurants where we literally get to each all the prepared food there without limitations on quantity. The best thing about it is that it’s way, way cheaper than eating in sit-down restaurants or even than fastfood chains. Some buffet restaurants go as low as $7 per person during lunchtime.

Here are some tips to maximize your stay in the buffet restaurant:

Plan your attack

Browse through the offerings first and strategize what you need to try first. Decide which areas are best to focus on. Go to your favorite section and start there. You have to pick the food that you don’t usually get at home or in other restaurants. Otherwise, there’s no point being in a buffet restaurant. This is also a good time to experiment on food you don’t normally eat. Just remember to keep portions small.

Quality over quantity

Go for the most expensive food on the table. Seafood like lobsters, shrimps, crabs, prawns, oysters, and salmon are more expensive than other offerings. The Japanese section is also a good section to start on because sashimi and tempura are always expensive in other restaurants. You can also go for the carving section to get your fill of meats like lamb chops, beef, turkey, and many others. Avoid rice, pasta, and sugary drinks, so you won’t feel full and heavy.

Choose multi-cuisine buffets

Sure, it’s nice to go to an eat-all-you-can buffalo wings restaurant, or even one that offers unlimited crabs and steak but the lack of option will tire you. After eating the first serving or so, you will feel like there’s no space in your stomach for more crabs. You want variety in your buffet and that’s what you should aim for when choosing which restaurant to try.

Exercise before and after

If you are a regular in buffet restaurants, you may want to maximize every time you dine there by keeping an active lifestyle. If you exercise regularly, this will up the rate of your metabolism, allowing you to eat larger portions but burning them almost immediately. Hopefully, you won’t gain weight at all. Biking regularly is a great way to be fit and let you eat as much as you want.
