Shop from a known brand
What are the brands that you have in your cabinet? You might have to choose a pair of shoes which brand you have tried on in the past. This will ensure that you’ve got your size with them right. For example, I am a size 6 with Nike, but I am a size 5 with Crocs. I’m a size 5.5 with Lacoste and with Skechers, but I’m a size 5 with Michael Kors. Check the size chart
Every online shop has a size and measurement chart. They will be very specific there on how many inches their size 5 or 6 or 7 is. If you don’t know the exact measurement of your feet, don’t rush about ordering. Measure your feet first. The sizes there already have allowance for the rubber and the materials used for the shoes. So, if your feet measured five inches and the chart says you’re a size 5, then you’re a size 5. Don’t try outsmarting the chart and say you’re a size 6 (for the allowance).
Ask about the materials
Sometimes, it matters what materials are used. Leather tends to be tight during the first few uses, but they’ll stretch out enough to be comfortable in the long run. Cotton will stretch out a little too loose when used almost daily. There are tough materials, of course. The ones used on Caterpillar and some other working boots will not stretch out no matter how long you wear them. That’s why you need to ask the seller what kind of materials are used in the shoes.
Evaluate the return policies
The most important thing about ordering online is the return policy of the online store. If the online store has a pretty lax return policy and they will allow the return and exchange of items because of wrong sizing, then you will be more confident about ordering from them.
