If a kid grows up going to your Tampa restaurants every week or so, he will continue to go there even when he’s 10 years old or even up to the time he’s already a teenager. Going to your restaurant will become a part of his routine and his weekly tradition. If you think you are fit to target kids as your audience, then this will open up a whole new portal that could bring profit to your business.

Kid-friendly menu and prices

Most parents choose restaurants based on the preference of their kids. If their kids like eating in your restaurant, they will choose it over the one they really like for the sake of their kids. This is especially true for picky eaters.

Create a menu that kids and parents would love. Kids would love French fries, pasta, and fried chicken nuggets but we all know that parents hate giving their kids what they consider junk food. You have to create a kid-friendly menu that could also incorporate vegetables and fruits into the dishes.

Kid-friendly playrooms

If your restaurant has the space for it, create a playroom or a little corner where the kids can play. That room should, of course, have CCTV cameras (for safety) and all the toys that kids love.

The parents would love to know that they can leave their kids there to play with the other children while they enjoy their own meals. These playrooms would keep the kids from bothering their parents while they are having a good time treating themselves to a delicious meal.

Kid-friendly equipment

Some of the equipment that your restaurant should have are high chairs and feeders, children’s dining plates and utensils, changing table for toddlers in the bathroom or a separate room for changing, hair dryer (because small children tend to sweat a lot when playing), diapers, and a small stool under the sink so the kid can wash his hands easily.

Remember that the equipment you need would not only be constrained to the dining area. It must also extend to the bathrooms, the parking lot, and all the guest-accessible area of your restaurant.

Kid-friendly staff

Lastly, it’s important to remind your staff that the kids are customers, too. They are the ones who pick the restaurant because they want the chicken nuggets there or they want to play in the playroom. Whatever the reason is, your staff should be 100% friendly to the kids because otherwise, they would not want to return anymore.
