Experienced drinkers know how to pick the right drink in order for them to “last long” for their Tampa nightlife, not have a hangover the next morning, and live to tell the tale. By the way some people talk about choosing the right alcohol to consume, you’d think they are physicists or chemists or doctors. But no, an experienced drinker could give you a pretty good insight on picking the right drinks so you’ll enjoy more instead of getting drunk the whole-night-long.

Load with carbohydrates

If you don’t want to find yourself in the bathroom puking yourself because of all the alcohol you consumed, you must load your tummy with carbs before going out to party. That’s a free pass to eat all the fries, rice, and pasta you want. The carbs will help your stomach settle a little bit better once you start drinking alcoholic drinks. Instead of the alcohol going straight to the lining of your stomach and irritating that part of your organ, there would be a “buffer”—the carbs that you loaded earlier.

Don’t mix alcohols

Keep shots to a minimum and remember not to mix different drinks because you wouldn’t want how that would affect your system. Keeping shots to a minimum will keep your stomach settled and it is far easier on your stomach if you don’t “shock” it with mixed drinks.

Go for lighter drinks

An Amaretto Sour and a Pina Colada are great drinks. They taste almost like juices, but that’s why they are a bit “poisonous.” Go for vodka or wine instead of sugary-sweet drinks because they would make your hangover worse in the morning. Vodka and wine have great benefits for the heart, and they are also best for your stomach if you want to make sure you won’t be puking in the middle of the dancefloor.

Drink a RedBull

Because you have been drinking since what time in the evening? Well, that means that by 1AM, you may be a little sleepy already. Surely, you did not go out for the night just to fall asleep on your booth? Drink a RedBull to keep you energized throughout the night. Just remember not to mix it with sugary drink like a Fanta because the sugar will make you crazy in the morning.

Drink lots of water

The rule of thumb is to drink one glass of water for every shot you make. You may be making a lot of trips to the bathroom, but you’ll thank us later when everyone’s feeling bad while you’re still fine and dandy. You’ll feel better in the morning, believe us.
