Do you know that some salads in Tampa restaurants are worse than eating burgers and milkshakes? Yes, especially when you are ordering salads from fastfood chains such as Wendy’s, McDonald’s, and Chipotle. But if you really want to remain loyal to these all-American fastfood chains, you simply have to change the way you order your food.

For one, hold the salad dressing because it contains more fat than a full plate of pasta alfredo. Two, lose the white bread and go instead for the wheat bread or a feta wrap. And third, never order anything friend. It’s bad for your health and you will lose your directions in terms of your diet.

Starbucks: Spinach, Egg White, and Feta Wrap

This meal contains whole grains, protein, fats, carbs, and fiber. Pair it up with your favorite espresso and we’re sure you’re ready to tackle the workday ahead. And yes, it used a feta wrap instead of the ordinary pita bread which is really just plain white flour. We know Starbucks’ menu keeps on changing, so just order the nearest meal like this one.

Wendy’s: Grilled Chicken Sandwich

This meal has a respectable amount of fat, protein, fiber, and even iron. You don’t need to change any of the toppings, though you may want to add chili for a little bit of kick. Just make sure not to order a Frosty or you’re going back to square one.

Applebee’s: From The Under 600 Calories Menu

Applebee’s has a whole menu full of dishes under 600 calories. Our favorite is the grilled chicken smothered with portobello mushrooms. We don’t know if that’s available in all Applebee’s restaurants, but this whopping pile of chicken and mushrooms is rich in protein and it has a healthy mix of vegetables. Infinitely better than your lettuce-based salads.

Chipotle: Burrito Bowl But With ½ Portion Guacamole

Everything about Chipotle’s Burrito Bowl is the bomb—the chicken, the beans, the fajita vegetables, the lettuce, and the tomato salsa. The guacamole is a good addition for that extra flavor instead of choosing cream cheese or sour cream. Stick to half a portion of the guacamole, though.

Panera Bread: Smoked Turkey Sandwich With Cheddar Cheese And Apple

Panera Bread sure has a lot of options if you want a low-calorie meal but if you want to feel fuller, choose the smoked turkey sandwich with cheddar cheese for fat and whole wheat bread for added nutrients. Better add a whole apple on the side, too.
