Compare the quality of materials
A sale does not always mean it’s a good sale. Before buying that item that’s on 50-percent, check its quality. Is it made of durable material? Is the material too thin that it will easily tear? Is there damage there? Even small damage should cause you to walk away or use that as leverage to get additional discounts.
You should be especially wary if the items are being discounted by more than 50 percent. What gives, right? Why would a retailer want to cut down his possible profit by 50 percent? There must be something wrong
Adjust to the sizes
If a 2T pair of pants is on sale but your kid is just 1 ½ years old, you should definitely grab it if it’s a good discount. While most moms are so intent at buying just the right size for their kids, you should think ahead. If something that good is on sale already, purchase it and a few months after, we’re sure your kid is running around in it.
