Our beautiful Lakeland events offers many free to inexpensive activities that won’t easily break the bank? Sounds perfect, right? Check out some of our ideas below, enjoy :)

Lakeland events has many things to offer—from absolutely free to pricey. It’s just a matter of how much you’re willing to shell out to enjoy yourself in this fun city. What’s more amazing with this city is that the free and cheap stuff doesn’t mean it’s not lots of fun. A three-dollar sandwich at a mini fair is just as amazing as a twenty-dollar appetizer from the fanciest restaurant down the block.

You could spend hundreds of dollars to do some extreme activity, but we bet you’ll also enjoy yourself just as much spending a few bucks to go see a great movie. When you’re in Lakeland, anything and everything is enjoyable.

Check out some spectacular free or cheap things you can do while here:

1. See a movie at a drive-in theater.
Yes, the tradition is still very much alive. Ask your parents about it, and surely they’ll remember just how much they enjoyed going to a drive-in theater when they were in their teens. So, go grab a popcorn, chips and some soda (or beer, if you’re of legal age) from a deli, and go to the Silvermoon Drive-In.

It has remained open since 1948, and was renovated for a number of times. Don’t worry, movies here aren’t stuck in the 1940s. You can go watch the latest movies from Hollywood while lying down on your pickup truck. Who knew being so retro can feel so divine?

2. Visit the parks.
Has it been a while since you visited and explored our local parks? Lakeland parks are unique and special in their own way. Since Lakeland has about 38 lakes (plus some unnamed), almost all of the city’s parks are built around these said lakes. And we promise you, there’s a lot to do in these parks. You can go kayaking, birdwatching, hunting, and even wakeboarding. There are also annual fairs and sporting activities that visitors and Lakeland residents alike can enjoy.

3. Go to the Family Fun Center or The Lakeland Center.
Lakeland’s Family Fun Center is the prime destination for entertainment. So, if you’ve got kids who want some arcade fun, then this is the best place for you in the city. But there are loads of other activities you can do here as well. There’s adventure golf and laser tag, which will surely appeal to the kid in you. It’s cheap, kid-friendly and a good date idea. What more can you ask for?

The Lakeland Center, on the other hand, is more for the younger adult and the slightly older generation. It is a multipurpose arena that is home for indoor activities in Lakeland such as ice skating and indoor football. From time to time, concerts are also held in this arena.

4. Eat, drink and be merry.
What better way to reward yourself than a break from your regular diet? Have fun in Lakeland, Florida by visiting the city’s famed breweries, nightclubs and sports bars. And you don’t even have to shell out a lot. Some of the bars and breweries offer happy hours at certain times of the day, so make sure to check that out.

In addition to the many great sports bars like Hooters, Lakeland events also has unique pubs and bars such as Lakeland Brewing Company, Molly McHughs Irish Pub, The Pink Piano, The Brass Tap and Hookah Palace. Some of these places have live music events during weekends, so you may want to catch a show or two.

Thankfully, museums in Lakeland, Florida are either free or really, really cheap. Yes, they don’t exactly have exhibits of Van Gogh or Da Vinci, but they are fun nonetheless.
