Tired of just hanging out in the mall and people watching? Are you bored with having to go on picnics in the park? Break away from the ordinary this holiday season and enjoy these four Tampa events that are designed to bring you and your family and friends joy and adventure.

Bartow Friday Fest

It happens only once every month so make sure to head over to Main Street Bartow this November 16 and catch this family-friendly event that’s open to the general public. Main Street is blocked off for this event so it’s going to be a fun street party that everyone can enjoy. There are free car and motorcycle displays and numerous food stalls will line the street.

The Bartow Friday Fest is held every third Friday of every month starting at 6PM in the historic Downtown Bartow. The official program will last until 9PM but you can party in nearby establishments until the wee hours of the morning.

Ski Show

Turn your ordinary picnics into something wonderful by watching the Ski Show at the Martin Luther King Jr. Park in Winter Haven, Florida on November 17. The pre-show starts at 5PM but the regular show begins at 6PM. Admission is free and the show goes on rain or shine (except when there’s lightning present).

You can bring lawn chairs and a blanket for the chilly weather, as well as some snacks and drinks. You can also buy food, t-shirts, hats, hotdogs, snacks, candies, popcorn, water, and soft drinks from nearby booths.

The show ends at 7PM, leaving you plenty of time to enjoy the atmosphere of the park.

Tampa’s Fourth Friday

Somehow, every Friday in Tampa gives you a reason to celebrate and enjoy. Tampa’s Fourth Friday is all about arts, culture, tours, food, music, and drinks. It is a celebration of Tampa’s rich arts and culture scene.

There are many cultural events in the program such as walk The Tampa Riverwalk, stroll along 7th Avenue in Ybor, ride a Coast Bike, hop on the Streetcar for free, or use the new Downtowner free ride service.

The program starts at 4PM and ends at 10PM at the Tampa Riverwalk.
