When you check your social media these days, you will notice that there are loads of events stylists promoting the different venues they have transformed. We can’t help but be in awe of the kind of styling and design they managed to do, and we’re thinking: “Should I hire a stylist for my Tampa events, too?”

Before you pick up that phone, know that there are lots of considerations that have to be made if you’re going to pay someone to transform your event venue. For one, does your place need styling? If you’re going to hold the event in a garden, there’s a pretty good chance all you need are lights, and you’re good to go. The park or the garden will transform itself to your needs.

Here are the questions to ask yourself before finally deciding to hire an event stylist:

Do I have the budget for it?

An event stylist can be really, really expensive. Your bill can go up to thousands of dollars, depending on the flowers and the props being used. If you want a ceiling treatment, that would cost you, too. Do you have the money for it? If you budget has no space for an event stylist, better not push it because this could cost a lot.

Where is my event going to be held?

If your event is going to be held in a place that has a lot of character and attitude in terms of its ambiance and styling, then think twice about hiring an event stylist because we’re pretty sure you don’t need one anymore. The only reason you may have to hire a stylist is when your event place is barren, or like a blank canvass. Also, if you have a particular theme in mind, then that may be a good reason to start looking into the works of event stylists.

Can I not do it by myself or with my friends?

If you need simple props and styling elements, then you may do it by yourself and with your friends and family. If you want a simple arc on the door, maybe you can make one out of real flowers or even paper flowers, if you’re into those things. If you have a lot of help, you can DIY a lot of things and it will save you big money in the end. But before taking on such a huge responsibility, make sure you have the time, the energy, and the resources.
