While all forms of marketing and advertising are being done on social media these days, we should not forget about the power of traditional media, especially when it comes to promoting Tampa nightlife business.

Contrary to many misconceptions, the tri-media of TV, radio, and print are not dead. They are still very much alive and it baffles the mind why anyone would think that they could not help a business promotion.

Television

Sure, airtime on television is expensive. It can go up to thousands of dollars. But it is also cost-effective in the long run. Remember that aside from social media, most millennials are stuck watching TV, too, thanks to their love of reality shows and TV show games.

You can still use commercials to promote your business. You don’t even have to buy airtime during the busy primetime block. As long as you have a bit of a presence on TV, you should be fine.

Radio

Unknown to many, a lot of people still use the radio to listen to news and music. These programs on the radio have commercials and people can’t help but listen to the commercials as well. If you saturate the airwaves enough, we think you could be able to attract customers who are listening to the radio while they drive to work or school.

You think your target audience are not listening to the radio anymore because they simply put up Spotify or Apple Music? Think again. You can still use the radio to advertise a contest that you have previously announced on Facebook, for example. All you need to do is announce the time of the broadcast and your audience should tune in to the radio program.

Newspaper and magazines

Okay, in many cases, the print media are literally dead. We mean, who reads the news from newspapers? And who checks out gossips and the latest fashion trend through magazines? Everything is digitized these days, and that’s why we think the print media won’t be of any help to our business.

Well, that’s where we are wrong. Newspapers and magazines are cheaper than running an ad on social media, on TV, and the radio. Okay, it is the cheapest option out of all the traditional and modern media. You can publish on a newspaper for a few hundred dollars, and you’ll get the best space, too.

Many people still love reading the newspaper during their morning coffee, while they are in cafes, or while they wait for their doctors in the waiting room. Maximize your chance to reach out to your audience.
